If you email us we'll use your email address and message only to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list or pass your details to anyone else.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which tracks are popular and which pages are broken. It uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, roughly where you are (city or region), and the type of device and browser you use. It doesn't tell us who you are.
This information is processed by Google, including on servers outside New Zealand. You can read Google's privacy policy, block cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Other services this site uses
- Fonts and scripts load from Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare), so those services see your IP address when your browser fetches them.
- Videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set cookies once you press play.
- Links to clubs, trail guides and The Purple Melon shop take you to other websites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see any personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Just email us. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
